The National Caribbean Food & Foodways Alliance (NCAFFA) – a nonprofit
platform established in 2010, operates, through partnerships, to promote
Caribbean cuisine culture and history. Its “Eat, Drink Caribbean” campaign
includes targeting the month of June as Caribbean Cuisine Month, and
celebrates Caribbean restaurant week in June, which it originated in the
DMV (District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia) in 2013. NCAFFA
recognizes Caribbean-American food pioneers, and through its Caribbean
Cooks & Books® Celebration recognizes Caribbean food writers
